Obituary for Crystal Hope MOHR (Baldwin)

Crystal Hope MOHR (Baldwin)
Crystal Hope Mohr, born September 9th, 1942, was taken from us, unexpectedly before her time, before 1pm, Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 at the age of 69 years old. She was a kind-hearted, loyal, precious, loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved and appreciated artistic creativity and expressed herself through knitting. Family was the MOST important thing to her, but, you didn’t need to be family by blood, showing care and compassion for one another was enough to make someone family in her eyes. She left a priceless imprint on every life she touched. To her surviving husband of almost 50 years, Don, she was a sweet saint, an angel that saved him from himself with her gift of unconditional love and patience. He is honored that Hope chose him to share her life with. Together, they helped troubled teens with a hotline service they created. They accepted two boys they straightened into men who became sons to Don and Hope. Claude Ackley and Bill Henderson are just as children to them as any blood relation. They welcomed Lori and Randy into their lives with such grateful, joyous hearts that they believed God gave them a “Thank You” baby for it, Michael, whom is their youngest and a miracle to me. She was known as the “neighborhood mom” to her children’s childhood friends, whom were welcomed to drop by for meals and sleepovers any time. For me, her daughter by marriage to Michael, she stepped in as my adulthood mom when my own mother passed away and I will forever be grateful to her for that gift. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicole, Carley, Dawn and Dominic and her 5 great grandchildren; Brianna, Braeden, Reagan, Emma and Benjamin. You may not be here physically, Mom, but you will always be with us in spirit through our hearts and memories. Thank you for showing us what true love and family are!
