HAVASU PIONEER

Robert Forest Morrow passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 82. Bob, as he was known to his family and many friends was born in Kingman, AZ on June 24, 1929 to Robert and Ruby (Fleming) Morrow.

Bob and his wife Dottie, along with their three daughters moved to Lake Havasu City on April 6, 1964. Bob worked at the Nautical Inn when it first opened and on April 1, 1966 became Lake Havasu’s first postmaster and the only employee. He held that position until 1968 and then went to work for the McCulloch Corporation where he retired as a supervisor. Bob was also a volunteer fireman, a member of the Sheriff’s Jeep Posse and the Lions Club. He flew radio controlled planes and was an early member of the Desert Hawks. Bob also served in the National Guard.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was loved by all of his family and will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Leslie Jo Cartolano, Nora Jane Gherardi and Robin Louise Foster; sister, Carol Jean Cotton and her husband Melvin; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Lou Morrow and his parents, former State Senator Robert E. Morrow and Ruby Ethel Morrow.

Services for Bob will be held at a later date.
