Juanita Mae Van Sickle (Clapp)
Juanita Mae Van Sickle, 85, went to heaven to be with the Lord on February 27, 2014 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born June 8, 1928 in Edmond, OK to Arby Clapp & Maudie Lee Freeman.
Juanita moved with her family to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1990. She worked as a bank manager at Lloyds bank in California for 28 years. She loved working in the garden and doing yard work in her spare time. She was a member of Tops and the Lake Havasu Republican Women. She loved family gatherings just sitting and visiting and she adored her dog and companion, Buddy.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Randy) Baer; sister, Betty Seargent; grandchildren; Holly (Edward) Cisneros, Valarie Chambers and Freddy Holguin; great-grandchildren, Sky, Briona, Freddy Jr., Justyn, Jordan, Matthew, Taylor, Hunter and Smilie; great-great grandson, Slater Keller(Holguin); nieces and nephews, Patricia, Vanessa, Teresa, Debbie, Joe Don, Donny, Randy, Alan, and Chip. She also leaves behind lifetime best friend, Sue as well as many other close friends. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Cliff Van Sickle; brothers, Vernon (Ann) Brock and Don Clapp; brother-in-law, Joe Seargent; niece and nephew, Carol and Larry.
Juanita will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.
Special thanks to Hospice of Havasu (Polidori House) and to our family at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home for their special care and attention. Also, many thanks to family and friends in the community, for all your love and support through this difficult time.
Honoring Juanita’s wishes, a Celebration of Life BBQ will be held for family and close friends at her granddaughter Holly’s (Eddie) house later this month. “We love you and will miss you very much!”
